Lily Tigermoon has a name that couldn’t be more perfect. The soft and interesting yellow petals are edged with the purest white. Each of the six perfect petals is then splashed with orange speckled stripes, creating a dramatic tiger-striped effect. At the centre, six deep orange stamens sit proudly contrasting beautifully with the pale petals.
Lily Tigermoon has glossy dark green leaves, spiralled on long stems, provide a perfect backdrop for its stunning blooms. Excellent choice for containers, position close to a seating area so you can enjoy the incredible scent! An eventual flowering height of around 120cm.
Plant lilies in the spring between March and April for summer blooms. Lilium/Lilies are ideal for large, showy displays and many are fragrant varieties. Easy to grow in well drained soil and in a sunny position.
Ensure that bulbs are not sitting in water throughout the colder months so that they do not rot. Lilies will come back every year and will eventually naturalise and produce more plants. You can propagate your own lilies by peeling back the scales of the bulb and sealing them in a bag with moist vermiculite.
Lilies are a firm favourite of florists and flower arrangers because of their beautiful range of colours, strong tall stems, longevity once cut and of course fragrance.
