Dahlia Night Queen is a stunning decorative ball variety. It produces deep red, crimson flowers that can look almost black in certain lights. Petals form a near perfect circular bloom radiating from the centre.
Dahlia Night Queen grows to an eventual flowering height of around 85cm. Great for adding bright, bold colour to the garden a little later in the season. Blooms sit on slender stems above rich green rosettes of foliage.
Flowering through the Summer into Autumn, deadhead regularly to encourage more flowers. Flowers are perfect for cutting and look stunning in a mixed border or patio pot.
Grow in fertile, well-drained soil, enriched with lots of organic matter and general purpose fertiliser, in full sun. Pinch out growing tips to encourage bushy plants and stake. Water freely in dry periods. Lift and store tubers in autumn to replant or use as a source of cuttings in spring.
