Dahlia David Howard is a decorative variety. They produce large, fully double flowers with rounded petals throughout the summer. Their rich orange tones with dark, plum centres are a real showstoppers. Their dark bronze foliage is another lovely feature!
Dahlia David Howard is ideal for planting in borders and will produce an abundance of blooms, perfect for cut flower displays. Growing to a Height of 80-100cm.
Flowering through the Summer into Autumn, deadhead regularly to encourage more flowers. Flowers are perfect for cutting and look stunning in a mixed border or patio pot.
Grow in fertile, well-drained soil, enriched with lots of organic matter and general purpose fertiliser, in full sun. Pinch out growing tips to encourage bushy plants and stake. Water freely in dry periods. Lift and store tubers in autumn to replant or use as a source of cuttings in spring.
