Red Duke of York First Earlies Net – Early harvesting heritage potato. Large red skinned with a light yellow, floury flesh. Excellent all rounder.

Variety: First Early Red Duke of York

Red Duke of York First Earlies are A sport of ‘Duke of York’ having more vigorous growth and producing larger red skinned oval tubers with light-yellow, floury flesh that give a splendid strong flavour.

A firm favourite ‘Heritage Potato’ that stores well.

Excellent for roasting but a great all rounder.

Excellent as; mash, chips, roast and jackets.

Planting;

Potatoes aren’t too fussy about soil, but are mildly sensitive to PH a soil that is too alkaline will mean serious scab is more likely.

Therefore we advise checking your soil before planting into the ground, if not multi purpose compost will do just fine.

It is best to chit your potatoes before planting.

After around 13 weeks small new potatoes will be ready to harvest.
