Planting;
We advise planting Elephant Garlic in September – February, early as possible.
Do so by breaking up the bulb and planting each clove (pointy side up) twice the size of the bulb in depth and 10 – 15cm apart in a line.
Leave a large enough gap between lines, around at least 30cm.
Gently lift from the soil once the leaves start to yellow.
leave your harvest in a bright shed area (shed or surface of soil) so they can ripen.
Next store them in a light, airy position, which is dry and frost free.
Please note each bulb can be split up into several cloves before planting. You will usually get about 4 cloves from this variety of garlic when split up for planting.
