Fritillaria Meleagris – Always attracts attention due to its unmistakable colouring of its bell-shaped flowers. This variety come in various shades of purple and occasionally white, but will always have a pronounced checked pattern all over.

Fritillaria are spring flowering herbaceous bulbous perennial plants within the Lily family.

For best results grow Fritillaria Meleagris in well-drained soil in partial shade or full sun.

Fritillaria Meleagris perfect for group planting or mixing with other varieties in bed/ border displays. Ensure you place at the front of your displays due to its smaller size (20 cm)

Grows to a height of around  20 cm.

Plant from Autumn.

Flowers Spring time.

Will attract bees to your garden.

Plant from mid to late autumn.

Use only healthy bulbs, discarding any that show signs of damage or mould.

Plant at least twice the bulb’s width apart, and at a depth of two or three times the bulb’s height.

Ensure you keep the soil moist during the growing period but take care to not over water.
