Duke of York First Earlies Net – Early harvesting heritage potato. Cream skinned with a yellow, waxy flesh. Excellent for your potato salads.

Duke of York First Earlies are an early harvesting ‘Heritage Potato’ first bred in 1891 that as become famous for it’s superb rich flavour.
A cream skinned oval tuber with a light-yellow waxy flesh making them perfect for freshly boiled new potatoes or salads.
The plant itself is lowing growing therefore making them suitable to be grown in windy gardens.
Excellent as; steam, boil, salads and Sauté.

- Best growing in full sun but they do fine in partial shade

Planting;
Potatoes aren’t too fussy about soil, but are mildly sensitive to PH a soil that is too alkaline will mean serious scab is more likely.
Therefore we advise checking your soil before planting into the ground, if not multi purpose compost will do just fine.
It is best to chit your potatoes before planting.
After around 13 weeks small new potatoes will be ready to harvest.
