Lettuce Tamburo Thompson & Morgan

£2.69

The ‘Tamburo’ lettuce is the perfect alternative to the popular ‘Little Gem’ variety. They feature darker coloured leaves, and are slightly taller but with the same delectable flavour. A delicious Cos lettuce is resistant to downy mildew and shows a tolerance to tipburn as well.

When planting, directly sow your seeds outdoors from March to August in well prepared, and fertile soil in full sun or semi shade. Rake your soil to a fine tilth and sow at a depth of 1cm in drills of 30cm apart. Once they are large enough to handle, thin out your seedlings 30cm apart and cover with protective netting or fleece, this will prevent birds and insects attacking your lettuce. Make regular sowings and you will have a continuous supply.

Height + Spread: 20cm

Harvest Time: June – October

Products stocked will vary at each centre, please check availability before you visit to avoid disappointment.

We will be pleased to order out of stock items  but this will be dependent on the availability from the supplier.
