KING EDWARD

£4.99

King Edward – 2kg

One of the oldest UK potato varieties, the ‘King Edward’ was first introduced in the UK at the beginning of the 1900s. They are still very popular to this day because of their excellent taste, great storing properties, and their above average disease resistance.

They are one of the best tasting varieties that can store for at least two months which makes up for its lower productivity.

The creamy white flesh stays white when cooked, with a taste that is favoured by amateur cooks and professionals alike. They are extremely versatile and are exceptional when mashed or roasted.

‘King Edward’ is disease resistant, with a high resistance to scab. However they can be susceptible to eelworm, and have a lower resistance to blight.

Plant your chitted potato seeds in late March to April and they will be ready to harvest in July and August.

Plant in full sun with fertile soil.

Products stocked will vary at each centre, please check availability before you visit to avoid disappointment.

We will be pleased to order out of stock items  but this will be dependent on the availability from the supplier.
