    Constance is a yellow skinned, pale yellow fleshed table potato for any general use. Early development soon after planting with oval round tubers of a regular shape and shallow eye. Known to produce decent sized tubers that are resistant to any secondary growth and growth cracks. The potato has a buttery taste and smooth texture perfect for boiling, mashing or baking.

    Salad blue is known to be one of a kind with unusual varieties you can grow, a vigorous maincrop variety with purple/blue tubers and attractive blue/purple flowers. Blue floury looking flesh is best suited for baking, roasting, boiling, mash or chips. They have a mild potato flavour short and oval shaped with a high dry matter and good texture.

    Carlingford is a excellent salad potato which produces a number of round oval tubers, with a waxy texture. Carlingford can be used as a second cropping verity planted during early August for harvesting closer to Christmas.     The ‘Lady Christl’ potato variety is a customer favourite, producing high yields of early, waxy and firm, yellow skinned tubers. They have creamy flesh with a delicious flavour and they remain firm when cooking. ‘Lady Christl’ has been awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit and there’s no questioning why! They bulk up quickly as a first early, and when left as a second early the tubers will become even larger. ‘Lady Christl’ is easy to grow, with good disease resistance including a resistance to golden eelworm, bruising, splitting and common scab. They are suited to growing in containers or in potato bags, growing to a height of up to 60cm.

    The ‘Swift’ potato variety is among one of the fastest maturing of the first early potatoes- producing a good crop in as little as seven weeks from planting!

    They are a high yielding variety that is round-oval shaped with creamy white flesh and shallow eyes. It has a short bushy habit which makes it perfect for containers or patio bags and for a garden with limited space.

    An all rounder in the kitchen, they have been bred for the earliest use in North of Scotland- which means you should be assured that they are a very hardy variety!

  • MARIS PIPER

    Main Crop

    The early main-crop ‘Maris Piper’ potato has been grown since the 60s; the purple flowered main-crop is one of the most popular potato varieties in the UK.

    With golden skin and creamy white flesh and a fluffy texture, it is an all rounder and very versatile. Perfect for chipping, roasting and mashing.

    These wonderfully flavoured potatoes produce high yields that rarely lose their colour when cooking and have great storage capabilities. They are also resistant to eelworm.

    ‘Chit’ your seeds before you plant your potato seeds in March. ‘Chit’ your potato seeds by setting them in a cool and bright position to allow them to sprout- this should take 3-4 weeks.

    When planting choose a location with full sun and moist but well drained soil.
