LILIUM STARGAZER

This flamboyant rose red lily with white edges and crimson flecks, blooms from mid to late summer and makes a superb border plant that provides vibrant colour and contrast.

Beloved by bees and butterflies these vivid lilies are easy to grow and reliable. Growing to a height of up to 120cm in the first year, these skyscraper lilies have been recorded to grow to a height of 2.5metres in the second year!

They perform best in a full sun location, to partial shade- especially around the base- and prefers fertile, acidic, well-drained soil. Plant bulbs 5-6” in a sunny border or in a big pot, during mid-spring. This will give your lilies the opportunity to grow to their optimum.

In their growing season water freely and use high-potash liquid fertilizer approx. every two weeks.

After they have bloomed you can divide the lilies and when they faded, cut them back to the base of the plant.

Cat owners may be disappointed to hear, the RSPA have reported that lilies can be fatal to cats- including the flower, leaves and pollen. So, these lilies should be avoided.
