Allium Globemaster Taylors Bulbs

£4.99

Allium ‘Globemaster’ are a large spherical variety that is made up of numerous star-shaped, deep violet flowers that appear in summer. The enormous flower heads measure up to 15cm, and are a real spectacle in pots or borders where they can be seen in their full glory.

They are also the perfect choice for a sunny border, dotted in groups among ornamental grasses or as part of a Mediterranean scheme. Alliums put on their best display when planted between medium sized herbaceous plants, which help to mask their strap like leaves that fad by the time the flowers appear.

It is no wonder why this Allium variety has been awarded the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit.

When planting, enrich the soil with added compost and plant the bulbs 15cm deep. Space them at 25cm intervals to take full advantage of the big flower heads. Make sure the soil does not get too wet or waterlogged, and divide large clumps in autumn or spring.

Height: 80cm

Spread: 20cm

Flowering: July

One bag contains 1 bulb.
