Allium Gladiator Taylors Bulbs

£4.99

Allium ‘Gladiator’ is a quick forming variety that produces hundreds of starry purple blooms with delicately silvery tips. A magnificent, spherical bloom that can grow up to 15cm across!

Flowering only once in a season, the blooms are soon followed by skeletal seedheads, they are perfect for a spectacular autumn display. They are undemanding and easy to grow, which guarantees that you will be sure to receive a beautiful summer display with added ‘wow’ factor.

Alliums thrive in light and sandy, well-drained soil with full sun. Avoid planting in cold and wet soils as the bulbs are prone to rot in these conditions. Plant your bulbs at a depth of 10cm and spacing of 10cm apart. A slow release fertiliser can be added to poor soil at the time of planting to improve fertility. When growing alliums, plant them where the leaves of the other plants will cover the base of their stems. This will hide the old foliage which dies back before flowering begins.

Height: 160cm

Spread: 30cm

Flowering: May- June

One bag contains 1 bulb.
