A real 'sweetie'!
An early maturing, extra tender variety with a high sugar content that gives a deliciously sweet flavour. It has a dwarf habit and improved performance in cold soils. Eat raw or cooked. SUPERSWEET VARIETY - Has 2-3 times the sugar levels of ordinary Sweet Corns. Careful sowing in warm moist soil/seed compost is essential to ensure good germination.
CULTURE: Sow under unheated glass in pots in April for planting outdoors mid-May. Can also be sown outdoors in May preferably under cloches. (14-16 weeks maturity.)
HINTS: For the best flavour use immediately after harvesting the cobs. HEALTH BENEFIT: A source of fibre and vitamin B, also a gluten-free cereal. CULINARY TIP: Delicious cooked and eaten straight off the cob.
