Red leaved form of picking type lettuce. Very productive over a long period and attractive in the garden. RHS 'Award of Garden Merit' winner. Picking Variety. Recommended by the National Institute of Agricultural Botany.
CULTURE: Sow little and often to ensure a continuous supply. Grow in a rich soil and water well in dry periods. Sow outdoors at fortnightly intervals from March to July, and in September sow varieties which stand through winter to head the following spring. (10-14 weeks maturity.)
