Recommended. Long, thick, pure white stems of mild flavour. Excellent for exhibition if sown in January under glass.
CULTURE: For exhibition sow January-February under glass at 18-21°C (65-70°F). For general purpose sow March-April outdoors in prepared seedbed for use from October to April according to variety. (30-32 weeks maturity.)
HINTS: Extremely hardy, and particularly useful in cold areas. HEALTH BENEFITS: High in potassium, folic acid and vitamin A and C. CULINARY TIPS: Use in soups and stews, as a boiled vegetable or in stir-fries.
