Safari produces straight, very slender round dark green stringless pods

and are best steamed and served whole, perhaps with a sprinkling of fresh
Dill or a little butter or sour cream as a sauce. RHS 'Award of Garden
Merit' winner.
CULTURE: Sow March-April under glass, or in succession outdoors from late April until mid-July. (12 weeks maturity.)
HINTS: Plants producing plenty of distinctively flavoured, stringless pods over a long period if picked regularly. Research suggests that it is unwise to eat beans raw. HEALTH BENEFITS: Source of vitamin A. CULINARY TIPS: Delicious when no thicker than a pencil, and can be sliced or cooked whole.
