Round, stringless pods.
A big improvement on Blue Lake with vigorous plants that yield up to
a third more beans. Round, stringless pods up to 20cm (8") in length are
produced right through to autumn if picked regularly. And the taste? -
delicious!
CULTURE: Sow outdoors late April-June or in April under glass for transplanting outdoors. Provide suitable support - e.g. netting or pea sticks (12-16 weeks maturity).
HINTS: Produces fine crops of delicious pods over a longer period than from Dwarf French Beans. HEALTH BENEFITS: A source of vitamins A, C and E, plus protein and fibre. CULINARY TIPS: Never eat beans raw, boil rapidly to retain the flavour and texture.
