Suttons 'fun to grow' My Little Garden flower kit brings you colour in your own pretty backdrop with the crayons provided whilst the seeds you have planted grow!

'My Little Garden' kits contains:

• folding card backdrop
• pack of crayons
• 3 magic compost blocks
• propagator tray and lid
• packet of mixed flower seeds containing amongs other flowers:

Cornflower - the blue flowers were used as a dye for colouring food

Calendula - if your birthday is in October, Calendula is your birth flower!

Chrysanthemum - did you know they come originally from China and Japan?

Godetia - known as the 'satin' flower becaus ethe petals are shiny and smooth

Pansy - the name comes from the French word pensee which means thought - because the pansy flower resembles a face.

Plant your seeds March - May  and meet your flowers July - September.

How to use your 'my little garden' kit:

1. Pierce holes in the growing tray where marked, using a pencil or skewer and place the magic compost blocks in the tray.  Place drip tray under growing trays.
2. Moisten the magic compost blocks with water and watch them expand.  Break up with compost, level off and firms down.
3. Place the flat drip tray under the growing tray.  Sow the seeds evenly across the surface of the compost and press in lightly.  Cover with paper and keep in a warm place.
4. When seedlings emerge after 7-15 days remove paper and keep compost moist.  Move to a warm, well lit windowsill.
5. Gently remove some seedlings to leave remainder around 4cm apard (put your spare seedlings in other pots or trays) and grow on until plants are 5-8cm high.  You can then plant them outdoors 15cm apart and then watch your first flowers appear!

 Colouring in and fitting the backdrop to your little garden:

• Colour in your flower backdrop with the crayons provided.  Why not try mixing two colours to create a completely different one?!
• When you finished colouring in your flowers, fold the backdrop where indicated and slide the lower end under the tray so your picture stands up behind.
• Hey presto! You have a make believe flower garden while the real one is growing. Take care when watering your plants that you do not damager your gorgeus picture!! 

Learning: You child will learn elements of the National Curriculum including seed germination and plant growth.
