Fun Facts on Fairies
How will I recognise a fairy? Faires are thought of as angelic, mischievous little figures with magical powers and they are about 8cm tall. They have butterfly shaped wings and flowers in their hair. They look after the flowers whose colours match the clothes they wear - blue for cornflower, red for poppy, yellow for calendula and so on.
Where do they live? At the bottom of the garden of course!! They use mushrooms as big umbrellas to shelter from the rain and drink nectar juice from the acorn cups. If you see a 'fairy' ring in a lawn or field - it's where they go to dance! so keep your eyes peeled ...
Learning: Your child will learn elements of the National Curriculum including seed germination and plant growth.
