Traditional loam-based fomulation with limestone and sand. Recommended for pricking out young seedlings or rooted cuttings and moving up to larger pots between March-October. Feed after 4-8 weeks or earlier if the container becomes well filled with roots. John Innes composts should not be stored from one season to another as nutrient content may become unbalanced. Not suitable for lime-hating, ericaceous plants.
