Taylors Allium 'Shenshyu Yellow' (Onion) Sets x 50

Taylor's "Senshyu Yellow" Onion Sets can be overwintered for an extra-early harvest, while the young growth can also be used as Spring Onions.

Onion sets are more reliable than seeds and are earlier to harvest.

Planting Instructions: Onions require a deeply cultivated and well-drained soil.

Growing: Onions will benefit from an application of general fertiliser into the soil prior to planting. Check every few days until growth commences and re-plant any sets that are disturbed by birds and animals.

Harvesting: When the leaves start to die down use a fork to partly ease the onions out of the soil. After a few days bend the tops over and afte a similar period left the onions, leaving them on the surface to ripen. When dry, rub off the loose skin and roots. Store them in a cool dry place in trays or make an onion rope.
