Elephant Garlic is a hardy perennial that produces a giant bulb. Each bulb can be up to 4 inches across It is a favorite of many chefs because it has a much milder flavor than traditional garlic.

Elephant Garlic has a distinctive strong flavour and can be used fresh or stored up to a year. Can be eaten cooked or raw!

Planting Instructions: Garlic prefers a well-drained, fertile soil in a sunny position, 3cm deep and 10cm apart.

Growing: If the garlic is in bulbs, break into cloves and plant each clove individually. Plant as instructions.

Harvesting: When the leaves start to die down, lift the bulbs and leave them on the surface of the soil to ripen. Store in a light, airy position, dry and frost free.

Expert's Tip: Garlic is said to act as a deterrent to many pests.
